That was really nice of you to share this story. Memorial Day has a profound meaning in my family, as I lost my father in the Vietnam War.
Be well and have a safe and wonderful holiday with your familiy.

Thanks for taking the time to reflect on these values and for exhorting others to do the same. There is a book that has been often overlooked by a Presb. pastor named " Peter Marshall" that underscores our heritage:; " The Light and The Glory". If you get a chance, the reading will bless you. The book is both historically accurate ( most of the history taken directly from the founding fathers own manuscripts ) as well as inspirational.
The Lord Bless you

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me this Memorial Day holiday. It is truly a time to remember those who died defending our great country. It"s funny; I was trying to remember that famous poem a few days ago and meant to look it up.
In spite of all that has transpired recently, we do have so much to be thankful for. God bless you, your family and staff.
Happy Memorial Day!

Chris:
Thank you for your thoughtful email. It is nice to take time to remember what you believe is important and share with others.

I share your feeling for this "special week end" so many people see this as just a long week end.
Our family has fought & died in every war dating back to the Civil War with the First Minnesota fought at Gettysburg.
We share that with thousands of other family's in this land.
I have attached some thing here I did a few years back ….the words where written 2 years before the Civil War …as the storm was heating up…….but most fitting for all time….and for those who step up to "Stand the Watch.

Thanks for the excellent message. This poem has been translated into an anthem and is one of my favorites; when I sing it my spirit soars. Good or Emma"s teacher and Emma!

Very interesting. It is difficult to find these days people who actually care about others like you do, no wonder why you are so successful with Mercantile and your barber shop.
Have a nice Memorial day too.

Thanks Chris and good weekend also. Enjoyed your poem below and your thoughts regarding our military and its protection of our population and values…yes the American spirit exists albeit now tempered by a socialist moving government that seeks to allocate income, capital and inject government management in “critical” industries. One only need look at the US Postal Service to assess the ability and quality of government"s management performance.
Best regards, Tom

Dear Chris:
Your daughter"s first grade class presentation on “The New Colossus” is very substantive and a lesson for us all.
My father was a WWII hero, humble with many metals for heroic achievement and saving many lives in the front lines in Italy.
His name is etched on NY memorial"s as Joseph T. McGuire with all of his medals and honors.
I remember in my heart him this Memorial Day as well as all of hero"s and our fallen soldiers.
We are so blessed to live in this Great Nation with beautiful people like you!
Kind Regards,
Maureen
One other saying I like from Warren Buffet that could apply to our economic stance also “we are out of the quicksand only now we are wet, cold and covered in dirt"

Yes, I believe this country should stand up for all our military men and women; Dead or alive!
Thank God for our Freedom.

Thank you for your email and the inspiration it provides to all of us. We have just been pre-approved for a loan from your company through Natasha's help. Whilst we have yet to accept, I hope we are able to confirm our acceptance in the not too distant future. Keep up the wonderful spirit with which you go about your life.

I would be interested to know the name of the poem from Myra Cohn Livingston, so that I could look it up and read it.
