Lance and Vanessa Stemples started their childcare business in Sacramento, California, and came to Florida to continue growing their business. At Leaps and Bounds Learning Center, the mission is to provide a safe, healthful and age-appropriate learning environment that both empowers and encourages children as they develop. The Stemples" newest location concentrates on care for toddlers and pre-kindergarten-aged children in the Wildwood, Florida area.
Unable to find a childcare provider that met her high quality standards, Vanessa left her career in healthcare and started Leaps and Bounds Learning Center. It began as a home-based business, and quickly filled to its licensed capacity of 22 children while providing local families a much-needed alternative to “stranger-care” and “childcare mills.” Vanessa found that a focus on caring for the children of low-income families and single-parent households also provided significant non-financial rewards for her.
