Mercantile Commercial Capital, LLC Reports 9 New Commercial Loans in the First Quarter on Total Projects of $20.9 Million

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. –Mercantile Commercial Capital, LLC, which specializes in U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans for small business owners, reported it closed on nine commercial loans from January through March on total projects of over $20.9 million.

Geof Longstaff, chairman of Mercantile Commercial Capital, said first quarter loans included three hotel properties valued at $14.2 million. Two of those hotels are located in Texas and one in Louisiana.

Christopher Hurn, president of Mercantile Commercial Capital said the first quarter loans funded projects in five states, including Florida. Altogether, Mercantile"s net income during the first quarter is up more than 38 percent over the same period last year.

Mercantile Commercial Capital"s first quarter loans helped to create 119 new jobs, Hurn said.

In 2007, Mercantile Commercial Capital closed on 48 loans for projects that totaled more than $102 million.
